Teen From Alexandra Is Going To Represent South Africa At The Football Camp In Germany

Tebatso Sekoaleng the teenager from South African will be travelling to Germany for representing his country in the Allianz Junior Football Camp which is going to start from August 27.

Sekoaleng is now 16-years-old and he is studying in Minerva High School. He was selected from almost 50 aspiring soccer stars who participated in the Allianz Football Tournament that held in the month of June this year at the Three Square Sports Ground in Alexandra. The tournament was scouted by the Maimane Phiri, Former Bafana midfielder.

Angola Crowned Cosafa Event And Earned Place At U-17 Nations Cup 2019

On Sunday, Angola was crowned the Under-17 Cosafa champions in the regional tournament in South Africa to register their place at Under-17 Africa Cup Nations that is scheduled for next year in Tanzania. In the final, it was the Palancas Negras who won the Cosafa crown and they registered the victory of 1-0 in South Africa. The match held in Port Louis, Mauritius, on a cloudy afternoon.

 

The only and the crucial goal happened in the fifth minute. The goal became possible when Osvaldo Capemba beat Bontle Molefe. The goal was done from close range and this earned them their title. This is their first title in this age-group. Zito Luvumbu of Angola, who tormented the Amajimbos’ Defense, got the title of the tournament’s best player.

Schlupp’s Crystal Palace Set Unwanted Record

Jeffrey Schlupp, who is a Ghana International, has set an infamous record with his club, Crystal Palace as they became the first club in top-flight history to lose their opening five games without scoring as Roy Hodgson’s first match as manager ended in defeat by Southampton. The Eagles paid for slack defending in just the sixth minute when a Dusan Tadic cross-shot was parried to the feet of Steven Davis, who side-footed home from 10 yards.

Palace’s direct approach was contained for the most part, though Saints keeper Fraser Forster did have to make point-blank saves to deny Christian Benteke and Jason Puncheon either side of half-time. His resistance meant the hosts set a new top-flight record as they surpassed the 438 minutes Newcastle United went without a goal at the start of the 2005-06 season. QUALIFICATIONS FOR WORLD CUP 2018

The world would gather in Russia next summer for the 2018 World Cup. Preparations are in top gear, teams have qualified and all obstacles have given way. Thirty two teams would feature in the event.

The hosts Russia, and group winners France, Germany, England, Belgium, Iceland, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, and Spain are representing the European contingent. Playoff winners Croatia, Denmark, Switzerland and Sweden would also feature.

South Africa has a new assistant coach with Quinton Fortune

The South African national side has recently been struggling in their attempts to qualify for big tournaments after failing to qualifyfor the 2017 editionof the Africa Cup ofNations.

Stuart Baxter says that he will continue focusing on the youth

Stuart Baxter is the head coach of the South African national football team and he has recently revealed his desire as well as plans to keep on promoting and giving the chance for his youngsters to prove their worth in the 1st team.


The South African national side recently claimed a 2-0 triumph over Botswana as they played their 1st leg of the 2018 African Nations Championship qualifier. The goals were scored by Ryan Moon who is only 20 years old and Gift Motupa who is also on the younger side with 22 years of age.

It appears like the youngsters are indeed repaying Stuart Baxter for his trust in the youth as South Africa kicked off their 2018 African Nations Championship qualifying journey in a positive way.

ONAZI: SOUTH AFRICA GAME IS A REDEEMER

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to face the BafanaBafana of South Africa in a 2019 AFCON qualifier.


Ahead of the match the captain of the team OgenyiOnazi claimed that the match was a chance for the team to redeem its image when they clash at the GodswillAkpabio Stadium in AkwaIbom.

Onazi told reporters that the team was taking the game with all seriousness after they lost the opportunity to play in AFCON 2015 when they played a draw with South Africa. The skipper said the team had not forgotten the disappointment they caused the nation after that game. Onazi asked for the support of the whole country with prayers as they approach the game.

Da Gama wants to coach South Africa

South Africa interim coach Owen Da Gama has stated that he is prepared to manage the national team on a permanent basis.


The South African football federation is still searching for a permanent coach following the sacking of Shakes Mashaba, and Da Gama believes that he has what it takes to manage the team on a permanent basis.

Da Gama told journalists that it has always been his dream to manage his national team and that so far he has not done a bad work. He said that there is a good spirit in the team and that the players respect him and that it would be great if he could continue his work on a permanent basis. The future of South Africa is bright despite the expulsion of Mashaba

During the final weeks of 2016, Ephraim Mashaba was fired from his managerial position of the South African national football team.


This occurred after a disciplinary hearing and this decision was made due to the 66 year old South African manager had insulted the head of the country’s soccer federation.

According to rumors, it’s believed that Mashaba had been involved with an altercation with the chief executive of the South African Football Association Dennis Mumble and Mashaba had also insulted the media which also affected his credibility and was eventually fired.

“It is regrettable that we had to face the events of the past month at a time when the national team is experiencing a resurgence in its quest to qualify for the 2018 World Cup,” said Dennis Mumble, chief executive of the South African Football Association

That was the statement released by Dennis Mumble as he said that having to remove Ephraim Mashaba from his managerial position is a forgettable event to have done and especially after South Africa was going through such a positive period of time as they had overcame Senegal on November 12 in a match that was a 2018 World Cup qualification.
